Directions to Habitat for Humanity Worksite:
Carter Crossing our newest site is located at 11th Court and Washington Park in Waukegan IL 60085.
Our new address will be 1625 11th Court.
Note: All volunteers please plan to arrive promptly at the worksite at 8am for check-in.
Please remember to bring your signed Waiver of Liability / Release Form with you (first time volunteers only).
- There are currently no dates scheduled for GIB Volunteers, as the work has not yet begun in Habitat's newest subdivison - Carter Crossing.
- Take Vernon Ave North to Dundee Road.
- Turn right at Dundee Rd. approx .1 mi
- Turn left at Green Bay Rd. approx 1.3 mi
- Turn left at County Line Rd/Lake Cook Rd. approx 1.0 mi
- Merge onto Skokie Hwy/US-41 N via the ramp to Waukegan. approx 12.7 mi
- Turn right at Martin Luter King Drive/22nd St.
- Take Martin Luther King Drive east to Green Bay Road/RT131. Turn Left (North)
- Take Green Bay Road north to 14th St/CR-A29. Turn Right.
- Go East on 14th Street, just past Lewis get in the Left lane. Travel two blocks, turn left at Washington Park and follow to 11th Court at Washington Park. Park around 11th and walk North on Washington Park. The new houses are going up on a new street behind (just North of) 11th st.
- If lost call Habitat Lake County (847) 623-1020 for directions and you will be directed to the site.
